Fundamental hand skills, good studio habits, and appreciation of quality craftsmanship are the focus of Jewelry I. This course is designed to introduce the basics of fine jewelry making and encourage the development of your own ideas.
Each week new skills and tools will be introduced. Time will be spent practicing
on scrap material as well as applying these skills in making a sterling silver ring
with a bezel-
Learn how to solder metals, create a bezel and open your creative self.
Materials & Tools
The $35.00 materials fee covers the cost of metals, wire, solder, and other basic supplies you will use to work on the projects for this class.

Vitreous Enameling Workshop

We will start with the a short history, techniques, tools safety in the workshop.
We will learn metal preparation, design layout and types of metals that can be enameled. You will be enameling before the end of the first day. By the end of the workshop, you should have a good idea as to what you wish to accomplish with enamel. This is a vitreous enamel which is fired in a kiln.
